To Italy we go.

Its Good-by to the lovely Mosel, and the steep Vine yards.

so with a thought and a travel agent in Annette is of to the air-port. And the Things you find in the forest.
Naples in the afternoon. its raining street markets, scooters, cars, people, rubbish on the street (due to a strike which is finished) and car horns,

Of to Pompeii, the hole of Naples's looks old. We got a train along the coast to Pompeii, its raining again,


Outside the main entrance to Pompeii, biggest Lemons we have ever seen, and the sun was starting to show, had a Pizza for lunch. with red wine very Italy.


Inside the the city of Pompeii, under Vesuvius which erupted on the 24th August 0f 79 AD to bury Pompeii under about 30 mts of ash and rocks. Pompeii extends approx. 66 ha, and we walked a fair bit of it.
The fresco's were great.




the vine yards have been planted back where they were.







Bit of History this is the 'Forum Granary'. The product market, was built after 62 AD.

Our Wedding

The hair dresser. Friday morning.

Having arrived in Germany on Thursday night this is now Friday morning and we are getting ready for the actual ceremony at the Frechen Rathaus, (civic centre) but first the Hair Dresser has to come. We had a Lunch just out of town ( with 6 friends, photos to come)
Then on Sunday we went to the other end on Germany in the North to Hurth not from from Annette,s home town for a Monday lunch with family and more Friends, from allover even Finland. below is the hotel so Sunday night was diner.




And on Monday all the Girls were off to the hair dresser again,


The Hotel had a lovely room in the old barn. This building were once a old Cloister, the setting was great,



My new job as head waiter.


The hole party, the food was great. the problem was we all had to much breakfast,

Most of us went to Bertina's for cake and coffee after the main dinner and great cakes they were to. L to R Petra, Hanna (Annette's mum)

We then went to the Mosel region for a few days to help me put on 3 kilo's
Sara and Hanu came for a few days and stocked up on wine as living in Finland the wine is quite expensive there.
we were in the Calmont region with the steepest wine yards in the world grow, we had a great Riesling on the side of the hills. that's the Mosel river behind with roman ruins on the left.
